The Best Route From Canterbury to the West Coast in New Zealand - Arthur's Pass

Arthur's Pass located in the heart of the Southern Alps which have two different landscape at the East and West (the riverbeds run through the valleys to the rain-forest), open-wide spectacular view!
Attractions: Avalanche Creek Waterfall, Devils Punchbowl Waterfall, Scenic train route

Getting there: Easy access from Highway 73 which run through the park.
Take the train from/to Christchurch <=> Greymouth for the stunning scenic view (Highly Recommended)

Get the information and find out the activities to do from the Arthur's Pass Visitor Center which in center of the town. From short walk to Avalanche Creek Waterfall (10 minutes return), Devils Punchbowl Waterfall (1 hour return) to more adventure a day hiking to the peak for the 360 degree mountain view. There's also many other walking trail to the stunning landscape (check out with the visitor center), also fishing, skiing, camping which you can spend a day or two there.


The weather can be unpredictable, do prepare yourself with warm clothes for the climate change.
