Keystone, Home of Mt. Rushmore. This is where i stayed for 4 months, there's nice food, nice ice cream and friendly people in this pretty town. The weather is pretty nice during the summer here, the sun is warm and chilly at night (as staying in Malaysia for long, i enjoyed this kind of weather!)
This brown house is a sweet home for 7 girls to spend the summer together. I love to stay close to nature, fresh air and we got deer visited us always. It was pretty tired to go uphill everyday after work but we enjoyed to stay here :)
There was once i captured the beautiful sunset from our place.
Along the way to town from our place, first you'll see a big field, this is a playground for us :)
Keep walking.... you'll pass by Rushmore Express Hotel and come to the junction. This restaurant-hotel just right beside the junction. The BIG TIME PIZZA was really grab our attention every time when we passed by, so we decided to have a try! Check out the best pizza in town here: Coming soon- Big Time Pizza
Adventure park, Zip line, Super8 hotel and shoplots on your right. Along this way and go for around 2 miles, you'll reach Mt Rushmore.
To your left, is the way to town! I worked night shift in Rushmore View Inn. This is a basic motel but characteristic with the local pined made furniture in the room. Grizzly Creek is the best place for dinner, the food served there were sooooo... delicious and the smell is so good that make me feel hungry every night when i worked there.
My job at front desk at night wasn't boring. I check the people from all around the world in, i got the chance chatting with them, broaden my horizons about this world, it was fun! Many people stop by Grizzly Creek for the best food, so I could have something special things (likes the pictures shown) to see always.
They called the "Big House", Keystone Project Center, located up the hill. Check out more about Keystone Project.
Travelodge is where i worked in day time. I have to say this hotel is reputed to be the cleanest as it score 99-100% in the inspection :p
'Peggy's Place' serve the best ever breakfast! I was very impressed as i had never tried such delicious breakfast in my life. It's not just omelet eggs or pancake, but with their home made recipe, it tasted special and really good!
These are the places i had my daily activities almost everyday, we went to the town very often but not everyday.... just for the NICE ICE CREAM!
