The Historical City in Cambodia- Siem Reap

Siem Reap is the gateway to Angkor Region. Tourism has boost the economy of Cambodia. Here's different from Phnom Penh, why I said so? I feel that Siem Reap is getting commercialize because of the magnificent of the Angkor City. It takes around 6 hours to reach Siem Reap from Phnom Penh by van (USD 12).

Pub Street which is the most happening street, lots of food can found here. However, i suggest that maybe you can have your meal in other places which the local people go. Here is a places full of foreigner, you can spend your night time here~ Angkor beer which the local beer is only 50 cent, nice beer, i like it!

Cambodia BBQ which is the significant local style food and recommended food to try. Actually this is similar with the BBQ plaza in KL/PJ.  The meat are fresh and with special sauce, taste juicy and delicious! We are lucky that a local people bring us to another place for this Cambodia BBQ, many local people going there. USD 4.5, buffet style, cheap and nice!

Night market is just behind the pub street. You can buy the local hand crafts and souvenir there. Bargain is needed :) The town is very happening at night, massage shop is everywhere, very cheap and comfortable. Feeling so comfortable and relaxing to have foot massage/body massage after whole day visit to Angkor city!

We had tried out the food in this restaurant located at the night market. I like the coconut the most! The price is reasonable.

A stall at the roadside at the night market, similar with the Chinese style kuih but taste very delicious!! We went back another day the stall is closed, very disappointed because it's super super delicious!

We met with a guy from HongKong and a girl from China, we had spend the time to the journey together, nice to meet them!

Feeling good to have a memorable trip with my BFF- Qiao Wei! We rent bicycle to visit around the town for only USD 1 per day from the guesthouse. Angkor City is the main attraction for the people to Siem Reap. However, we also visit the village and the community to learn the culture there, make our journey meaningful.

Overall Experience: 4.5/5
